steering wheel loose...

for some reason now my steering wheel can become loose. for example when i pull on the steering wheel seems like it wants to come off and it makes my turn signal switch really loose.

i examined it further on the pull and it seems like the shaft wants to come off the steering box?

what could cause this?

The input shaft is coming out of the steering box itself? Or pulling off the steering box input shaft?

It moves probably an inch or less but does not come out of the steering box.  Well I looked again and it seems its coming out the coupler part......

There is a roll pin that holds the coupler to that shaft. Look inside the hole on the bottom of the coupler for it.

Yup seems its a coupler it moves slightly in and out of coupler....gonna try some u joint mods.
