More expense, but almost done

I took my driveshaft to get balanced because of a nasty vibration. The guy called and said NG because of a few dents. He said it would never balance. $400 later I have a nice new shaft. When does it stop? I really was hoping to be done with the major expense so I could focus on some other around the house things. Putting it all back together after paint really hit my pocket hard. I started compiling a file with pictures receipts and notes during the resto. I started to make a list of everything I did. I then decided it would be simpler to make a list of things that are original and untouched. At least my wife is cool about it and gave me the thumbs up to go ahead with it. I guess it helps that she likes cruising around in it.

Once your done and cruising you will forget the money spent.
I have all of my receipts but i refuse to add up the cost. My wife has no idea what i spent on the car.  :2thumbs:

Been there done that.

I've been a tight wade for close to a year, and when it's warm, I start buying.   The good news is you'll soon forget....

Also, not recommended to add up the receipts, you'll be shocked on what it totals. :o :o

Keep the receipts in a box if you like...  but never try to add it up.   It'll ruin the fun.  :2thumbs:

All spoke the gospel Dave. As to receipts......yeah, it won't be a happy number BUT I did add up mine. That number and the price I paid for the car is what I have it insured for. Just sayin'

If your babe likes cruising in the car prolly best she doesn't know the receipt total.

Picked up the new shaft tonight. The guy stayed late so I could meet him. Great shop If anyone needs a driveshaft done in western NJ let me know I highly recommend them.  Got the shaft installed in 1 beers time and took it for a hot lap. So so nice to be vibration free.

I only kept a notebook on my first Aussie R/T Charger - 6pk 4spd E49 clone, and let me tell you, 3 years down the track after a motor and box rebuild & upgrade , taller trumpets and custom Ali air box, Hoosiers and all fluids written down and added up, I decided to not put it in easily compliable format ever again . So just throw it in a shoebox if you care to check it on a rainy day

That was 4 cars ago and I believe my system works just fine
