I get this e-mail of a '71 Super Bee, that is GF7 with a GW3 white painted top.
Also the Bee is in New Zealand. This is a first for me.

Any others?

It probably is, if you break down the list of options.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

The GF7 is the body paint (Dark Green Metallic)

I saw a 70 Roadrunner at a car show last year. It was FK5 burnt orange with a white painted top.It was for sale and tempted me greatly..

I just can't seem to let the hood louver issue go. I guess I am obsessed by trying to determine how many louvers a 3rd gen charger hood is supposed to have, and here is a 1971 charger, obviously a superbee hood with the big opening, and it has what most people would call the 1973 style louver. The more I see, the more I am convinced that Ma Mopar was (is) insane!!!

I know of a one of one 69 1/2 f6 superbee with a black painted top.  I know of 2 70-71 darts with painted tops.  Thats all I can think of as far as painted top Mopars.  Tipopiola

That I dont know. It maybe a " New Zealand " thing. I'll ask.

Ghoste

Yeah, cuz in the pic, they kind of look like "Nats" entry stickers.

TK73

Isn't that hood a 383 Super Bee hood, the "louvered" ones were 440?  Both for 71.

Louvered Hoods for 71 RT, I am pretty sure the SuperBee Hoods with insert could be for 340 383 440

Its a 73 hood with the insert modified, maybe something over there that is factory. Nacho has a 74 ( I think) R/T. Must be a over the water thing.  Look at his Engine Family sticker. Ain't that supposed to be on the hood.  :rotz:

JohnnyBee

The Hood is a '73, and the insert is a '71 for Super Bee only.

The "louvers" that "1958300" and I are talking about are the ones at the back of the hood. Most '71's have the louvers all the way across and the '73's are split.

I was told they are old registration stickers that were used here in new zealand may years ago (no longer used) they are colored and have like a number or a letter.  On the trunk lid he said there's a dealer badge that says "Fred King Dodge" Anyone know this dealer?
