I'm looking into it myself. It would be great if I could master it.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Hmmmm looks neat, is it expensive? can you do big parts too or just plastic?

JB400

Might be alright for the plastic parts, but for chroming bumpers, I'd prefer the real deal.

Need to chrome trim pieces in mine too....will give it a try.

bobfist

Yes parts inside the car is what i will do, outside is the real chrome best, but ive seen those with hood ornaments chromed with this and you cant tell whats real or not.
Not only plastic , pot metal, glass, etc

So what's it cost to do this?   All the sites I've seen put the equipment cost at 2 - 3k+.  Not worth it for a diy'er, and I have not seen any places that advertise doing this.

bobfist

It isnt that expensive, i have 0,5 litre of all acids and that will cover 555 sq. ft for about 532,52 dollars

Just has my plastic arm rest bases and the pot metal horn ring done with spray chrome.  Very reasonable and they look great!  Saved me several hundred dollars buying replacements going this route.  You can also do wood from what my guy tells me. Wish I thought of this!!!!
