mustang bullitt wheels on 70 Charger?

im looking at getting some bullitt wheels off of about a 02 mustang, and im curious if the backspacing will work on the car. and if i will have to run spacers? they look like tourqe thrusts and they are 17 inch. thanks its on my 70 charger

I wouldn't bother using them.  The backspacing is too far out, and yes, spacers would be required.  I'd be worried about possibly snapping wheel studs off. There are plenty of wheel manufacturers that produce that style of rim with the correct backspacing.

The problem with using any wheels spec'd for a late model car is that they all seem to lack depth. The outer rim/hoop edge doesn't sit out  far enough to fill the wheel wells. These cars can accomodate a 12" wheel out back if the backspacing is right. Personally, I like the look of having the wheels and tires pushed out to the limit of the body. This can be achieved using those Ford wheels, but you'd need a 2" spacer, maybe even more. If I recall, the widest rim they used was an 8" with over 6 inches of backspacing. Most Mopars cant take more than 4 1/2" of backspacing before making contact with something.
