I have a 1972 440HP that I am putting in my 69 charger.  6 pack rods. Service manual says 45-50 ft lbs. I have seen online that heavy duty rods go to 55 ft lbs. (see link --> http://boxwrench.net/specs/bchrys_B.htm)

I have my rods at 45 Ibs now. With loctite on. I havent put the oil pan on so if I need to re-torque I can.

Motor specs:

The heavy rod uses the exact same bolt/nut as the standard rod so the torque spec is the same.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
