What kind of second gen. does 8-9K get? A solid small block driver? Seriously considering selling the satellite to buy a charger or e body. So let me know what the market is like.

Usually there's nothing much in that price range except maybe a mid-resto car or a beat-up driver with the wrong engine. The prices start at about $6k and go to around $8k for something that totally needs redone. Between about $8k and $25k (I'd say $25k is where the really nice cars start) is kind of the real hit and miss territory.

If you want anything decent in that price range you might wanna go for an A-body.  :Twocents:  I'm looking for a '71 Demon or a '69 Dart after I get my Charger paid off

well a year ago.... i'd say forget ANYTHING that even runs.. but just tonight i spot this

and that is a numbers matching running driving 69 BB charger in decent shape.. no rust.. for $18,500. i think a 68-70 318 charger with a good body that still needs work and may or may not run can be had now for $8k.. or at least a running car that is not perfectly solid for $8k. either way this is the time to buy one in my opinion. first off it's the best time of the year to buy a charger anyway, but even more so since they are probably 10-20% off last year's prices
just my opinion

I saw that too. BEAUTIFUL car, and great price. What is that? B7?

nice car, yeah it's a buyer's market now...
i used to say 8K to git into a charger then i bumped that to 11K a yr or so ago...

I'd say a Charger with a good body that doesn't run is way more valuable than a Charger than a driver with rust. In other words, it's a helluva lot cheaper to rebuild an engine than it is to rebuild a body.

well i agree 100% bull, and i personally would pay more for a non running rust free body.. wait i just did...

$6500 for that one($7600 with shipping), and it's not just a 318 car either...that is on the way here now via transport. i'm excited.. but anywho. my point was EBAY. which seems to house all the goobers who don't care about a body, they just want a RUNNING charger, even if it is falling apart at the frame rails. that is the sole reason i put the prices the same

I don't know how you do it, Trav. :2thumbs:

His computer is set up to open to ebay and automatically have 68~70 Charger searched for and listed by color, year, engine, alphabetically, etc.... hahaha
