From pics I have seen & heard from others there was/is indeed a spring of sorts that attaches to the brake pedal bracket and bell crank assy.
I dont have one on my set up with no negative effects....

Hey any chance you have any pictures of return spring on a '70? Not sure where it goes, in '71 they have provisions for it however in '70 I have no clue where it attaches at.

Thank you for your pictures they are very helpful however I need pictures of the emergency/ parking brake pedal return spring. Do you have any?

I think the springs at the back brake cable ends
are your return force.

I concur...the only "spring" in the E brake assy is the spring for the release handle....
