I just had my 727 rebuilt and bolting it to my rebuilt 440-6 ~ both are 1970 models, the 440 is .030 over with a 489 mopar purple shaft, headers, roller rockers, and a few other goodies... Transmission was rebuilt with shift kit and carbon fiber bands, now i need to pick a torque/ stall converter so I can put it all together...  It will be for the street, but it needs to keep up with my setup...  Would like to hear from anyone that knows what they are talking about, about what brand and size they used, and their results... Any help much appreciated!   :2thumbs:

Yep, as it's too hard to "Guess" without knowing ALOT of technical info about your engine/trans/rear gear ratio/weight of car/etc.

How much gear out back ?  :scratchchin:

A Turbo Action or Dynamic 10in unit is most likely the best choice  :2thumbs:

PTC told me thier 9.5" TF-8 billet front converter would be what I was looking for.  The price is $475 + shipping.  I asked what that would put the stall at, waiting back for a reply...

With the 3.55 gears a "tight" 10in would be my choice.  :Twocents:
