Quote2 gallons of coolant, and a T-stat housing (Plastic?!?!) from Ford and he's back inthe road. I can't believe that engine lasted. NO coolant in it at ALL.

If his old man is that stupid, how can we expect anything less from him? NOBODY teaches basic car care to their kids these days.

Yup. Lucky for you, there will be a steady stream of cars to work on forever.

same thing happins with my buddy and his whole family soon as they see somthing they like, they don't stop talking about it till they get it and bring it home then tell me to come over and see it, it's allways junk, they have more projecks 6 of them being cars and trucks that will never see the road again.

Tis true I will never want to work, but only if these types actually PAID for the work the cars need. ALL of them want to scream bloody murder, and can't understand it when their little pos needs more invested in repairs than they paid for it. THIS is what I'm referring to here. IF you don't have the money for a project, WTF would you buy one? Almost ALL of them are junk and the owners shot their whole wad buying it.

I wonder what it was like 100+ years ago when someone would need a repair done to their wagon wheel.  Or they would need a new horse...   :scratchchin:

100 years ago their was natural checks and balences in life to bite the stupid right out of people, or they'd end up dead...pretty good motivation.
In the current world it not only allows stupidity but caters to it, and thus in a scense breeding it.

Actually, an continuation along the same lines.....

I will never understand the fascination with "4-wheelin'...Even being a big 'ol redneck myself...

Here we go. Jeep Wrangler comes in, kid says "I was just riding along and my Jeep just cut off"..."ok"...I go out to start it and there's one helluva rattle coming from inside the engine. Dude says "What do you think it is"? I state that i think he blew it up.
After about two weeks of waiting for the kids GRANDMOTHER who is about 90 years old, to pay for this punk kids new engine, he finally admits he buried it "Wheelin"...There was muddy water floating inside the air box. Number 4 piston came apart from being hydraulic'ed, causing the rod to bounce around inside the cylinder. Radiator was PACKED with dried mud. Kid claims he "cleaned it out"...Yeah, right.....

I will never understand this. Don't these people realise that all that muddy water/mud gets past the grease seals in the diffs? Transmission? Transfer? Engine? Nobody cleans this out after all that wheelin'. they even ride around with the "trophy" mud on it for days!?!? WTF?

99.999% of the world's population is stupid but I may have miscalculated this so let's call it 99.999% or more.    :icon_smile_big:

Expect the worst and at the end of the day it won't be so bad.  If they were all smart, you'd be out of a job.

While true, it's these types that tear sh*t up and can't pay for what they tore up. There's plenty of things breaking/wearing out on vehicles to be repaired. This is just stupid sh*t.

Yes it is, I can't argue with that.  Makes for good stories on dc.com though!   :icon_smile_big:

I used to see people like that in autobody all the time.  Come to think of it, I see that even in health care.

Had a patient not too long ago, made him a brace to correct the position of his ankle.  When he came back for follow up I asked him how the brace worked.  He said it was great whenever he had it on...so I asked him how much he wears it and he tells me about 2-3 hours a day, most days of the week.  I told him that he should be wearing it all the time except for sleeping.  His reply: do you think that would make my ankle better?  No I made the damn thing so you could put it behind glass and look at it....  :brickwall:

Along these same lines....Wifey just got home from yet another tiring/draining day at work. Retail has got to be about the worst run business on the planet.

I will never understand upper management. It all started about 1 year ago. Wifey was lucky to even get a job with 4 discs and one knee blown out. But, she was still willing to work and work hard. She puts in anywhere from 50-90 Hrs/week at Her store. She took her store from On the Matrix @ #20 DEAD LAST, to #3 in the district. Working herself to death in the process. Someone calls in, she covered all by herself. In a high volume store, that's ALOT to take on.
She did this for about 1 year. She finally asked for a simple Raise, as she was offered another job. She stated she would stay if they would at least either 1. Match pay, 2. Give her a larger back room so she didn't have to handle the merch. 5 times moving it, or 3. Up her alotted hours to get all they expected done.

Well, her district manager knew full and well what she was worth, yet goes to bat for her with her Regional manager who is a biggoted, racist, POS that thinks all women should be at home, or making at least 1/2 pay of male counterparts. He refused to even budge 1 inch. So, she left to "Explore other oppertunities".

Fast forward three months. Other job hasn't called yet, so she was offered yet another store. She had to accept as she wasn't working. She was "Demoted" to Asst. Manager of this store. She comes home today talking bout how her manager is all but working against her when she tries to help the store's numbers by getting it organised. Her other store she left from went from #3 all the way down to #20. DEAD LAST again.  I can't understand why some management can't see the writing on the wall. I mean, I had it all figured out, she had it figured out, her district manager had it figured out, why couldn't that Pig of a Regional manager figure out that if she left that store, it was gonna end up dead last yet again? It went from being a $4 million/year store where Customers were happy to shop at, to a store where there's at least 5 complaints/week how customers can't get down the isles. Now the store has lost all the profit is was making hwen she left.

One would think that if a simple coutry boy can see the writing on the wall, upper managemnet that clearly went to college for this sh*t could see it. Yet, they act like they have blinders on. Is this the future of this country? Are we left to complete Morons in upper management? I mean, I ain't got no high falootin' Degrees that say I know anything bout business, but I know enough that when you have a worker that has invested MANY long hours into YOUR business, you Make arrangements to keep them. Not outragious demands, but "Arrangements". Accomidations if you will. Yet, the same ol stonewalling goes on.

I wonder if the little increase in pay was worth the extra $2 million/year they lost in sales?
I simply don't get it.
