727 Transmission date coding fun

Hey guys, sorry to start another thread, im buying a lot of stuff lately. 

I am trying to find the correct part/date code trans for my 70 Charger RT, Built B28 (Nov 28,1969).

Its got a date code correct 440 block in it right now, in addition to many other date correct parts. Trans is a PK 3410667L 2929. Looked this one up, says its from a '70 383 2BBL Build date is Aug 4,1969. So thats not going to be right...

I found two 1970 440 transmissions:

PK 3410669 2945 - build date Aug 20,1969
PK 3410670 3178  -build date April 10,1970

mymopar.com transguide says that *669 is used on "DODGE EARLY 70 8-4BC 350HP" and *670 says "DODGE 70 8-4BC 375HP". So does this mean a *669 727 trans can be correct for my early production 70 Charger R/T? I understand 4BC to read 4bbl, B, C bodies. Am i wrong?

Some people tell me *669 is used on a 70 C body 440, and 670's are B body. My understanding was 669 - nonHP, 670 HP versions both on B or C bodies.

Could any transmission experts chime in? In the perfect world i would want a *670 trans with correct date code to avoid any issue, but just not too many 40yo 727s to pick from.

If a critic is going to check the trans for the correct P/N and build date they're probably gonna also check for the correct VIN so what's the point?     Only the original case will have the correct VIN stamped.

Since the only 440-4 engine available in a '70 Charger was the 375HP, the 670 is the only "correct" one. While some sources make a distinction as to body types the Factory Parts Catalog shows the 670 used in all bodies except the A and Y.

That's true, maybe I could be less picky. On the other hand neither of those trans are cheap, and if I find the perfect one after dropping $$ I would kick myself.
