In 1993 I had a bank give me a loan using my 68 as collateral even though I had a lot newer cars. She actually requested that I use the Charger. Almost made me nervous that she wanted to use that one instead of the newer cars.

Thats what I was thinking too.  Every bank has different policies though.  :shruggy:

Most banks have a classic car loan...I bought my GN thru a bank...they had no idea what a Grand National was, so they were a bit stunned that a 25 yr old Buick would be worth 14-20K..they had to look it up on the NADA..then cut me a check.

Congrats! Paying off something you've worked hard for is a great achievement!  :2thumbs:

Banks and Credit Unions know these cars are a good investment.

Thanks guys,  I appreciate it.  Alot of banks will give you a loan for a classic but the intrest rate will be alot higher than a new car.

Now instead of making payments I can use that money to customize it the way I want.  Drum to disk brake conversion, add a suregrip to the diff., better exhaust system, updated sound system, bigger tires in the back.
