I Need Some Serious Help

I have had absolutely no issues so far finding mechanical parts for my 1977 Dodge Charger, however in the last two years I have found only 1 place that has a single exterior/interior part for my car, Desert Valley Auto Parts. The people running the place couldn't be bothered to go remove anything from a car for me, and being that they are +2500 miles away it's not like I can go remove them myself. Does anyone here have or know where I could find any exterior/interior parts for a '75-'78 Charger in decent shape? I'm working on the car almost completely on my own, and as rewarding as that is finding parts has turned into an absolute nightmare. The drivers door has a softball size hole in it, the rear bumper is about to fall off, and the entire interior is trashed...and I can't find so much as a door panel for the goofy thing. I cant do the body work if I don't have the parts, which means I am pretty much stuck. I know it isn't a "Charger" to a lot of you, but this car means the world to me and so does restoring it. Any help is beyond appreciated!!

Maybe the universe is saying it's time to give up the woobie.  :shruggy:

Seriously, contact "super77se" on the forum, he's been posting his '77. He could be a resource. And "MoparStuart" has a parts yard. Contact him.

Assuming you've googled and can't find a 77 forum or 77 club, then maybe it's time that you start you own group dedicated to the special and rare 77 that you love. Recruit others by posting at Moparts, FBBO, Allpar, Moparstyle, etc. etc.

If your needing interior pieces, I think you should try Legendary.  They will not have it in stock, but being that they do custom interior, see if you can send them your old pieces and they can make you new ones.  As for the hard stuff, you'd probably have to contact people that deal in NOS. They would more than likely have it.  Sorry, there is no one stop shopping when working on an out of the box type car like yours.  It'd be nice if there was though.

Welcome to the world of unpopular cars. Try finding parts for a 1958 Plymouth....No, your not gonna find them everywhere Like these Chargers, but then again, there's a reason these cars are this way. WAY more followers.

You may find yourself buying a whole car in order to get the pieces you need. As for interior? All but impossible as nobody messes with these cars.

I just looked on craigslist for this blue 77 daytona. The guy wanted $800.a tree fell on the roof and left fender.(not bad IMO).Had a mint blue int with floor shift. It was on NY NJ craigslist. I think ebay has one on the parts cars section. There is also a guy called magnumguy that has some stuff you might need.I'll keep an eye out for that blue one. That car was so nice you may want to cut your roof of and repair that car.Good luck

You can search on most of the boneyards in the country.

Interior is gonna be sketchy...   You might need to find a local upholsterer for that.

unfortunately , there is not going to be much at all in the way of repopped parts for these cars, ive scoured the country side looking for pieces. i seriously doubt there ever will be because they are less than desirable in the collector car world and there is just no demand for any of the parts. i ended up hand fabbing any body metal repairs i made, which worked great , but it wasnt really by choice. if you post some pics of the bad spots we can probably give advice on how to attack to the problem areas. dont give up on it, there is a solution for everything. the last and only NOS 77 charger tail lights ive seen were on ebay and very pricy. most of the time, replacement parts are going to be in bad shape for these cars, there just arent many left . i ended up repairing my original panels instead of replacing them. it took me 2 years to find a decklid, and Desert Valley happen to be one of the places i called for a decklid, they wanted 300 plus shipping. i finally found one local to me. good doors were totally out of the question.

if it was me, i think i would search for a mint low mileage "survivor" , they are out there , i have seen them. I like these cars alot too. They are still affordable even in mint shape.

Lizey, the last time I was at this place he had several Cordoba,Magnums,Chargers there. It has been almost 2 years since being there and he doesn't crush cars very often.
