If it was there when I got the car (almost positive PS hose is original), the the bend in the metal end is there as I had my PS pump rebuilt and hoses had new rubber with original ends installed locally and I am sure I got my originals back.

This picture was taken a couple of months ago and the engine compartment looks a little different now!

P.S.  Look in the bottom pic of the front of the Charger. If that is the extra bend you are referring to, it is there.

The hoses aren't right as they are just generic hydraulic hoses locally available. I tried to get the correct hoses but they seem to be unobtanium for me. So, I had my rubber part of the hoses replaced with what I could get here (black but, not original texture and no numbers) and used the original metal end-caps. Best I could do at the time. Also had my PS pump rebuilt and steering box rebuilt at the same place and I haven't driven the car yet but, it looks like they did a fantastic job.

P.S.  When I bought the Charger (1976), the power steering was already leaking badly and I had to add some almost daily. Anyway, I put the car in the garage in 1982 and never started it again. I figured everything power-steering related, including the steering box needed to be rebuilt after sitting for so long so ...... I had it rebuilt.
