He was a convicted felon, good thing he wasn't allowed to own a gun.   ::)

Laws we have aren't enforced, so news laws will be useless. I remember in the late 80's when there was a shooting in NJ where some politician full of hot air had tons of support from his zombie followers. He grandstanded that a new law was needed that would make it illegal for a kid to kill someone in a school zone. I thought it was already illegal for a kid to buy a gun & already illegal to kill someone.   :shruggy:

Bunch of nimrods wasting time, energy & money on useless s**t.

I don't understand.  It was illegal for him to have a gun.  There was no possible way for him to get a gun, since it was illegal.  Logically, that should have prevented this tragedy.  HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

It is illegal to carry a weapon of any kind in the city of Chicago but yet they have the highest rate of violent crime, murder, shooting in the country right now. All those acts are illegal, so maybe they need even more laws to prevent those types of violent acts, ya think!. The pin head politicians sit in the comfy big offices with there armed security waiting for them outside. They think more laws are the answer. I think new politicians are the answer.

QuoteYeah, I don't get it. Beats his 92 y.o. grandmother to death with a hammer and doesn't get life??

That's an easy fix.

We need a 10-day waiting period to buy hammers.  Register all hammer owners, don't allow sales without paperwork, do a govt buy-back program, etc.

But what we don't know is what kind of hammer was it?   :shruggy:   Was it a regular hammer or commercial grade?   The general public should not have commercial grade hammers because they don't need that much of a hammer....   Was it a 16oz? or the big boy?   :nana:

I bet it was military issue, There is no reason for anyone to own a military issue hammer.

And what about the fire starter? What did he use to light the fire? Was it an easily accessible Bic lighter? Did he use the free stick or book matches you can pick up at a smoke shop? That has to stop. I say we need more fire starter regulations and maybe even a law suit against the Bic lighter corporation. This has gone far enough, we need fire starter regulations to get these things under control.  :eek2:
