I have a a driveshaft from a 2004 2X4 Hemi 1500 Ram . The yoke fits in a 727 and 518 trans. I was going to scrap the aluminum shaft and save the yolk for a spare. Anyone know what u joint it uses? Looks like a 7290. The yoke  has one spline missing (on purpase)  I dont remember if the rfe 545 has a masterspine on the tailshaft or not.

The missing spline in the slip yoke is to prevent air-hammering, there is no master spline in the output shaft.

Most later model trucks that I've seen seem to use Spicer style u-joints (curly-cue external snap ring).
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
