I found this photo when cleaning out his desk. I'd heard stories that he towed the family boat with his Super Bee, but I did not have any proof. It had a 383 with a four-speed. I got a good chuckle from this.  ;)

That's a great picture, your father in-law must be a cool guy   :yesnod: , I love the old pics.

I wish I still had picture's I had back in 1980 towing my Dad's boat with my 69 Charger, from Seattle to
Lake Shasta with my buddy driving his 70 Chevelle SS also towing a boat. Its amazing what we did in the old days.

Love the mirrors strapped to the fenders.  At first I winced even though I realize it was just the family car doing its double duty.  Awesome pic.  :2thumbs:

I remember seeing a 69 Charger going down I-44 in MO. towards the ozarks towing a boat about 5 years ago.  I almost broke my neck turning to see if I was really seeing that!

When I was a kid, not even a teenager yet, my dad had a 69' R/T blue white top & int. he towed a boat behind his charger, 17 footer or so I recall. I remember how cool it was being able to go up this certain hill at 110 mph w/the boat behind us, haha...
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

How big was their road trip
They live in The Netherlands and have been to every corner in N.L. and to Germany and Belgium.
If the gas prices weren't about $8,50 a Gallon they would probably go further...

At the drag races in Drachten, The Netherlands. The hood is open 'cause people ask al the time to see the 426 Hemi.

The Netherlands, way cool! One of my ole 69' chargers ended up over there a few years ago, it was white black top/int. Org. 318 car w/a 440 in it at the time, I heard the guy was going to build a DOH clone..oh well. Car was shipped from Alaska btw...
