CARTER AVS float hight ????

I just replaced the floats in my 4617 and it was pumping gas right out the top so I am guessing the floats aren't set right...

..................u may have a bad float or a bad needle and seat.......invert the bowl and set the floats level with the casting........kim.....

could be just dirt in the needle & seat also often tapping on the carb will drop the dirt out , check the fliter too

possibly dirt, but the reason I took it apart was to change floats as one filled up with gas.
