THERE IS NO PLAN TO BUILD 2 DOOR 2ND GEN  STYLE CHARGER BY CHRYSLER.   PERIOD... SIMPLE.... ALL THIS SPECULATION DOESN'T AMOUNT TO A HILL OF BEANS. FIAT OR NO FIAT

Ma Mopar is not going to build a 2 door charger, Why? because the 4 door chargers are everywhere, people love em! its only a small audience that want the 2 door. I was in my 69 parked next to a couple of guys at the coffee shop that were driving a new 2012 charger. They told me they liked the new waaay better than the old. One guy said it was a cool car 40 years ago. :RantExplode:

Well for what it's worth. I drove a 2012 R/T 4 door charger. Was it impressive, yes, did it make me think, wow! Yes, what car wouldn't that has power/trq. with the combo it's set up with!?
But if I had the $$ for what the new charger cost's and had the chance to buy a 2nd gen of equality, hands down I myself would buy the 2nd gen, even as much as I dislike old cars anymore, I'd love a 68' or 70' worth 45 or 50 grand, it'd be one hell of a nice mopar and only go up in value and get the respect it deserves vs. the new 4 door bomber!
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

FWIW, I have both, the old and the new. I love my old Charger. I have about 34K invested in my 11 R/T. to buy an old one for that money, there is no equality. there  is no comparison, really. I am all about the nostalgia and the legend behind the old stuff. I grew up with them, I worked on them, etc. They are fine for driving to the local cruise ins and occasional trip to a national meet. But for all out driving, daily, etc the 11 would run circles around the old one. period. I had the 11 on a trip thru the mountains of VA, WVa and PA. the old Charger simply could never hold it's own on the twisties and windies, the up and down mountain road action. I could never drive it with the same energy  and safety that I can with the 11. OK, it has 4 doors, so what. my new Charger is designed and built in the same spirit as the old. It is the same definition of what the original Chargers were conceived to be. I know. I was in the  design studios of Chrysler for the old as well as the new.
