Everyone has probably seen a Segway, but how about a one wheeled electric motorcycle?   :shruggy:

I think it's pretty cool.   :coolgleamA:

RYNO Motors Site: http://rynomotors.com/

The target price is pretty steep at $3500 & it doesn't look as thought it's available yet.

We have one in the museum powered by a gas engine.  Not easy to ride at first.

Does that mean it's all banged up?

No but its banged a few guys up.
Ours is a ittle different than that.  I'll get a pic up but essentially its a large wheel that you sit inside of with the engine.

I've seen those, this seems to handle a lot better I think..  ;)

Bobs69

They had those in the new men in black movie!

Like this thing the electric motorcycle seems like a waste of time to me considering the average motorcycle gets 40-50 mpg.

Ghoste

This is the one we have.

Just make sure you check the oil EVERY time.  1 cyl engine between your legs throwing a rod. :eek2: Not a pretty picture.  Lose 1 rod, maybe lose 2? :scratchchin:

True, but you can't take a motorcycle on a bus with you when you run out of gas.

The guy who invented it stated that you can ride it on sidewalks, bring it into a building, etc. Something like the RYNO appears to be best suited for a city, not a far commute. If he could get the price down I bet he'd sell a bunch.

I've seen that before, pretty neat. I just don't remember where I saw it, probably on TV or Youtube.   :shruggy:

Looks to me like the rider would have needed a couple of Dramamine at the end of the ride.

The Dramamine comment is accurate and thats how it throws people.  When you first open the throttle the seat and engine protion tend to climb the wheel so your natural instinct is to back off the fuel which causes it to swing to far back the other way.  Of course at that point there is a little forward momentum started with the wheel as well so between riding out the pendulum and not keeping your feet on the ground until its moving, thats when it comes over.
