what could cause a lack of oiling on front cilinders area at rocker shafts ?

the cilinders 1 and 2 rockers began to fail, and I got a charcoal layer al around, from burnt oil.

plugged rocker shaft holes, or low oil pressure.

You can prime the system and check the flow to that area and i think you can remove the rocker shafts and put a coat hanger in the rocker stand and check for blockage down to the cam hole and blow air in there also.
ps: maybe the cam baring moved and closed the hole some or all the way.

That's a good theory and the same thing i'm thinking....the #4 cam bearing has shifted and partially closed off the oil supply. Coincidentaly, the 2 most affected cylinders are also the two furthest away from the top end oil supply.  :yesnod:

what about the lifter fails making the oil not reach enough to the rockers ?

And that area would effect what?:Both ends of the pushrod and the contact area and the pushrod would be shorter, discolored and the rocker likely to have a hole in it fast from no oil.The valve springs will get weaker also from more heat.

Show pictures please.  Is anything turning blue?  If so, exactly where.

nothing blue, just the rockers bushings getting worn, then with play on rocker shaft now. Rockers got some of the brass from the bushing.

No pics, sorry, I had to reassembly the car. Readjusted everything with the new rocker play temporally

it looks logic now the lower PSI on cilinders 1 and 2, right ? ( do you remember my PSI readings BSB67  ? ) maybe they were opening later  and closing earlier and with less duration due a bigger play with rocker

worried now if the camshaft bearing moved

Dumping out part of the oil pressure maybe ? :shruggy:

but I never have got less than half of gauge reading though

That would create higher cylinder pressure.
