Another 68 Charger on Ebay

Here is another one I just discovered on Ebay that seems interesting, albeit pretty steep price...? Would be great to hear the initial thoughts from the experts (red flags, etc.)...

if you only want it due to the movie car status I say get it...if not they can be had cheaper than that.

I don't care about the movie status, just the car. It is excatly how I would want the charger that I have in mind to look (color, wheels, etc)...

I think you need to watch more of the movie.  There was an earlier clip where the Charger was in the garage.  I haven't seen the movie in years but I do remember the film.

Check out these pics, they show a black car with no vinyl top in one pic.  It has the same plates as the wrecked one.  Wrecked one does have a vinyl top.

Thanks guys for insights thus far. Obviously it would be nice if its an RT car, but ultimately that is not a "deal-breaker" for me. Yes, I like the look (it really reminds of the car I had when I was younger...). The fact that it was in the movie is a novelty but really not something that I will pay a big premium for (maybe a few grand). Given, that it is not an RT car, the "buy-it-now" price is definitely quite high.

So apart from the movie status, and given the car checks out okay (resto work was done properly, etc.) What is a reasonable range for this vehicle in your opinions?

Assuming it's not a bondo bucket or a rust bucket, $20k- $30k.  It really depends on what's under the paint and how the floors and trunk look.  What the movie status does to it, no idea.  Some movie cars go for crazy money.

what you just said....20 to 30k car max.....A forum member here sold his 68 very well done for only 35k or something like that...and his was done head to toe and was way more superior than this ebag car.

That car is listed at $32k and has yet to sell.  His is fully restored with a 440, but comes with the original 318.  There is very little knowledge on this car except it was in a movie.  Could it be worth more, yes. But, I'm going to keep my expectations low, and be surprised later if it turns out better.  Keeps me from being disappointed.

I'll talk with them today and let you know.   Several things aren't correct on that car but it's still nice looking.   I think the price is high.
