Interior lights wont go out?

Hi all, hope you can help on this one, finally got the right bulbs to go into the interior lights on my 68 charger only to find that when the doors are closed they dont go out! I've checked the pillar switches and as much of the wiring i can see, even removed the pillar switches and isolated the contacts.................Any idea's would be very much appreciated, thanks. ???

are you sure you have the 1004 bulb on dome roof light ?... two contacts one filament.

i had this prob about two weeks ago get a 1004 bulb and it works well

If the bulb is correct and the door switches have been isolated, the problem could lie in the instrument light dimmer.
