I made to open my brake booster check valve on a way I can rebuild it easily with epoxy and make it allmost unnoticeable. The damaged piece on this is not more than the rubber piece what makes the valve work. I simply think lost elasticity, thats all

does somebody knows how back to life the rubber ?

Depending on how bad it is a rubber conditioner is what you need. You need to put oils back into the rubber.

If it's not bad scrubbing it with Simple Green and warm water is good, Also #303 works well at rejuvenating rubber.

I normally put the piece in a plastic zip lock bag with whatever product you use and let it sit over night.

what kind of rubber conditioner

Personally I use #303 as I've found it suits my needs and contains no silicone and has UV protection additives in it.

That rubber doesn't look too bad. I'd soak it in #303

I wouldn't use epoxy but a glue specially formulated for rubber.

epoxy is for the plastic case, to glue back the cap I cut to be able to remove the rubber seal, not for the rubber seal itself. The rubber seal goes clipped inside, into the middle hole. Thats the piece what MAKES the check vave.

I think to pay $70-150 for the valve ( which is the price you can get around ) is too much just for a piece of rubber "damaged"

not the RIGHT ONE ( the one pictured )

is not available anymore ( discontinued ) AND, if you do, are being sold in $70-100 rate ( check my thread on brakes section )

aftermarket or replacement parts locally found really sucks, tees begin to melt in just one week. I know there are replacements what works ( Raybestos, Dorman ), but trying to keep the same one
