just found out this was in town, i did the petty deal, 16 laps, about 7 years ago, was fun and of course i wanted to do more
i never thought this was even available, i've always wanted to fly a helo or ww2 fighter

anyone ever done this somewhere else or even here on your vacation?

My father in law has done it. He had a couple of Vettes and was an Aeronautical Engineer before he retired ( B1 bomber). 

At 80, I guess he felt the need for speed and went up. He loved it.

He passed away earlier this year and the video of his flight along with some of his other adventures was shown at the funeral home showings.


P.S.  Don't eat a big lunch before you go up.

Probably a better deal now... did the Petty thing last year at Daytona and it's only 8 laps now

my wife bought the 8 laps but they had a xmas special to upgrade to the next level for free.  at that time i think the levels were

8 laps
16 laps
32 laps
2 day
2 day in traffic (other cars with you)

been awhile, so maybe i'm wrong or it could just be an individual track thing

plus they do the different levels on different days so maybe the day you went they only had the 8 lap class going on??

Ahh you know, I'm not the one who set it up, it was a work outing.  I'm willing to bet then that we did the 8 laps because that's the cheapest.

Thinking of it as 20 miles instead of 8 laps might make it sound longer or that it was the fastest you traveled 20 miles.
