Gents, I recently purchased Bilstein shocks for my '68 from Hotchkis - http://www.hotchkis.net/rcd_shocks_dodge_b_e_body_4_pack_stock_height_cars.html.  It will be a few months before I have the suspension installed, but have gone through everything to ensure no missing / broken pieces.  For the front shocks, the instructions say if a dust cover does not come with the shocks (yes for the rear no for the front) then one should use the dust cover from the original shocks on the car  :shruggy:.  Is this only applicable to the rear?  Appreciate any insight.

Just 6T9 CHGR

???  My Bilsteins came with covers :shruggy:

Really, your front Bilsteins came with covers?  Even the link on Hotchkis shows the fronts without covers.  Any chance you can get the item number?  Assuming it is labeled?

Just 6T9 CHGR

LOL had to go out in garage & check but I definitely have front dust boots # the part # is 55-R082 for the stock ride height fronts & 55-R093 for the rears

Just a cheapy plastic cover that covers the piston front & rear....not made of metal like most production shocks  :Twocents:
