It's too funny this got posted....my wife of 6 years told me last night she was not happy (we have had our issues not like cheating or anything like that).  She told me that she wanted me to sell the charger to take care of our money issue. Here is my issue. My step daughter is basically a turd who can't keep a job so what little child support she gets is always jacked up. Anyway she is in travel soccer and wants to be in band now. That crap isn't cheap. I told her that her and her father would have to work that out. That didn't go over very well. She basically said that she wasn't telling me to sell the car but it was for the family.  She also said the only way she could "trust me" is if I sold the car. REALLY?  I make good money. She does the finances so I'm sure they are all jacked up.  Sounds like it's her or the car.....well see ya....I can't believe this is happening. We really grew apart the past few years.

My other ex-wife (and the judge) made me sell my 68 camaro conv. I sure know how to pick them.  I don't think so.  Will see what happens.

well, I've been away trying to make things better...She took her ex back to court to get more child support....he doesnt pay that much now so will see what happens....I told her the charger is staying and to better budget the money..if not than I will leave and do it myself...the money is there she is just mismanaging it...long story..I also told her she needed to support my hobby...I really dont do much except work on my car and workout...she is not a car girl which is part of the problem...she doesnt get it.....I told her the trust thing was BS....I've never given her a reason not to trust me and thats true.....we will see what happens...my daughter is most important right now..I hate the thought of not seeing her daily...I know that isnt a reason to stay together....but it is a reason to at least work on things to see if anything is salvageable.....

I really admire those of you who have had wives longer than 10 years(thats how long we have been together)!  Its work..or is it just me with the wrong girl again....will see I guess

Good for you Mplawdog!!  Love will find a way to work things out if its true. If she loves you she will make an effort to work out the finances with you so you can enjoy the things that make you happy. Being a gearhead is NOT a bad thing even though spouces make it out to be!!

Mary and I have been married for 27 years come August and together over 28 now. She is for sure the love of my life and really our only troubles ever have been medical and money due to medical.. We have 2 wonderful daughters that we are very proud of and I think my lucky stars every day for my wonderful family... Now if I could figure out the money trick everything would be fantastic!!  I believe the simple trick is to love and understand. Curtis hit every nail on their heads a few pages back. Even if your life is unconventional or not what others believe is good for them, if it works well for you, stick with it...

For those that have been through hell and back I can only say one thing. You only have one life to live, so if you are NOT happy, do what you have to do to enjoy your life.. Even if it takes a few harsh turns to get there...

Everyone needs some sort of hobby or outlet to keep them from going crazy, as long as it stays in control and doesn't take over.

I don't know what I'd do if someone took my cars away, I wouldn't be myself anymore.

Good for you mpdlawdog for taking a stand. God forbid but what would happen if you sold the Charger and then things still didn't work out with your misses?

My husband made me sell my Charger and look where I am now. If they threaten to leave over a car, did they ever really love you in the first place? Or if they threaten to leave because your spending too much time on something you enjoy? If your signifigant other really knew you from the begining, the car would not be an issue. They one, would not be with you. #2 They would truly feel real love for you and would support something that makes you happy. I ended up selling my beloved Charger because of him and yet he left me anyway.

It's a sad story no matter how you look at it wheels.

I can however see how someone could feel neglected if left alone constantly while their partner entertained his/her own interests. Any marriage requires some amount of work to make it a success. As much as I love my wife I think it would have been easier had I stayed single.
