72 s.e. 4 speed question

I have the 4 speed rebuilt and have all my rods figured those out. I have the 6 inch set back bracket on the front mount location. My question is.... Is it possilbe to have all the rods hooked up and set the trans up in the car? or do they have to be not connected?

probably with the engine & K frame fromt he bottom , if you are going to try to slide it inot the bell I doubt it will go past the crossmember .
