My rear springs are re-arched to give the car some rake. I like where it sits now but my shocks are now a little to short, they reach their max extension befor the springs do. Has anyone found longer shocks that will work?

Figure out what you need and then do some shopping.  You see a lot of people go with air shocks, but I personally think the ride quality sucks.  Call Edelbrock or Bilstein and talk to a rep.  I love my Eddies. :2thumbs:

Try C-body shocks.

What about shock extenders?

I was considering ss springs and Rancho 9000 were recommended to me.

That's the set up I'm using for my rear. I'm looking for a good set of shocks for the front.

70sixpakrt: I don't suppose you recall the Rancho part number or perhaps the original application for those shocks?

Interesting i can get these shocks in Australia for $190 each in the next town. When you look up the rancho web site no listings for passenger cars.?

Looks like they are adjustable with the SS springs on the street what have you found to be the best setting for the rear.

You can get the shocks from Mancini Racing or Calvert. I bought mine about 4 yrs ago from Calvert at MATS. I have mine set at 4 for the street and turn them to 7-9 at the track.

It looks like the Ranchos were sold to Calvert (Caltracs)

Looks like for 1 inch higher ride height use CAL22150 as per the mancini link
standard ride height CAL22142
Super stock springs on the lowest height settings is that 1 inch higher than standard.?

I thinks that sounds about right. When I bought my Ranchos from Calvert about 4 yrs ago he recommended the 99116 because of the ride hight with SS springs.
