Honestly really really disturbing to me... After reading this and thinking how much time i spend out in the middle of no where i think they should go for attempted murder... my  :Twocents:

Restoring a charger is like a saying I heard along time ago "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it".... Jesus I wish I could remember who said that...

Fred

UNBELIEVABLE! I just don't understand it. What goes on in someones head to do something like that. They just don't seem to consider the consequences of there actions any more or else they just don't give a rat's arse. I don't know.  That's scary stuff.

No, I don't think those young men DO care, not one damn bit.  My sociology professor was as left and liberal as a left hand turn but I did agree with her on one thing: people these days are lacking a strong sense of right and wrong-morality is going by the wayside and we are slowling de-evolving into a dispassionate state of emotional lawlessness.

The ideas of what is right and wrong are drastically changed from what they were decades ago.  The capacity to think about what's right and wrong is also diminishing, especially among the youth; yeah, I think we should be scared.

As for these thoughtless animals?  As far as I'm concerned once anyone displays a genuine lack of concern for their fellow man and acts with malicious intent, whether there are casualties or not, the punishment should be either incarceration for life or the death penalty.  If you can act with malicious intent towards another human being with the intent to harm or kill with no provocation then you don't deserve to be a part of civilization...

There is no accountability anymore, you kill someone you either get a minimal sentence and get out in 10 years or so or you sit in prison for life or 20 years (waiting a death sentence) getting to watch TV, get internet access, get a degree, full medical, If people actually saw with their own two damn eyes the consequences, You see someone hanging outside a courthouse for murdering someone (in cold blood) that is real!!! you see the body and their is a certain "oh shit, I don't wanna end up like that" factor, Yes people are going to murder it's been that way since the dawn of time but I believe if there were public hangings for murderers and child rapists you would see the number go down, plus we would not have to keep all those killers alive in prison!!! It's F'n nuts.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

If they truly lacked adequate sense of right & wrong, and didn't understand how wrong it was . . . then they wouldn't be getting a kick out of doing it in the first place.  It takes effort to set that stuff up.  People don't do it without understanding what the result is gonna be.

IMHO those kids understood the severity of what they were doing just fine.  I'd vote to throw the book at them.  They sure did attempt to inflict bodily injury on other people in some fashion.

Charge them with something as serious as attempted murder?  I dunno.  Maybe, maybe not.  I'd want to see the traps before making that call.

Fred

I agree with you Myk and Indygenerallee.
Thanks to the thoughtlessness of these morons you're life can be over in a second and even if they were then remorseful and regret their stupid behavior, you don't get it back.   One stupid act............and you're gone!!
It's sad to see this lack of respect for others. I always thought being human meant you had some sense logic and morality but it seems it has to be taught. The problem is, it isn't............not at school and certainly not at home.
And what on earth happened to compassion? did someone break the mold. It really is a sad state of affairs and unless we start teaching our children right from wrong there's no hope for the future.   :'(

Trying for animals what a crock.  They're both adults and know full well what the results would have been.  Apparently the one must have bigger holes in his brain then he has in his earlobes.  Perhaps they should be sent to Afghanistan to walk ahead of the troops to find booby traps since they think they're so good at setting them.  Unfortunately the justice will not fit the attempted crime.  You get more time/fine for spankin your kid when they do wrong then trying to really hurt somebody.  I guess it gets to me more as I ride a motorcycle through the trails and woods only to find piano wire strung between trees set to cut your head off and other stuff like broke bottles placed in swimming areas.  I don't believe its a matter of not knowing right from wrong.  I feel there is a lot of desensitization to maiming and killing a life present everyday in video games, regular TV programs, and other media.  Certain music lyrics and movies praise it.  Also a matter of monkey see monkey do.  Both me and my kids were raised with canoeology and other than some of the general mischief almost everyone goes through,  we haven't tried to hurt someone for kicks.
