"Hey Kyle"

"Hey bro what's new?"

"Got my car impounded for 7 days"

"Why?!"

"160kmh on the highway"

"You're going to have to pay storage and towing charges. How much is the fine?"

"No idea the officer is still writing the ticket while we wait for the tow truck"

Oh little brother.....  :slap:

That sucks!  Mandatory court appearance.  Minimum 1 month license suspension + $800 fine (that was back in the day, it's probably higher now).

GET A TICKETS LAWYER!  Trust me, it will be worth the money!

Here's my brother's car:

2010 Hyundai Gensis 2.0 Turbo. Fast little bastard and my brother did a LOT of work to it himself.

Hope not. I did worse then that awhile back in an '84 Daytona Turbo Z. Double against a speed sign (140kmh in a 70kmh zone). I received a fine of under $300 and was let go along with the car that was racing me at the time.  :-\

Ok his fine was $500 plus towing (between $100-$200) and storage for a week ($50-$100 a day).

I'm in Alberta (over 50 is a 1 month minimum suspended + big fine + if the officer says something it can be much worse).

I'm moving to BC :)

Nanny state... ;)

Heck the speed limit is 70 MPH in most states here in the US and the traffic is generally moving at 80-85. I can't stand driving in Canada - you guys could all have 3 speeds with no overdrive.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.
