Stock for 68 were single terminal door jamb switches. Yellow wire for the terminal and the switch body actually grounds it out.  Now I have aftermarket 2 terminal switches.  I'm assuming 1 post for ground and the other 1 is the yellow wire per the instructions?  Lemme know what's up.

1968's "usually" have the bullit style connector

Reason that I'm asking is I'm such a wiring genius   I have an aftermarket wiring kit from Summit and am tying up some loose ends.  The 2 post switch I'm assuming is a ground and a power correct?

No, the 2 post switch both spades are ground connections when the door is open

Well if they are both grounded then what wire from the taillight/domelight harness connects to the door jamb switch?

the door jam switch with two prongs is to use one prong to dome light and the other one for some other accesories devices, such as warning buzzers ground controled. That makes posible to wire just driver side to certain waring signals, without link to dome light circuit  what will make them to work when opening passenger side.

example, ign key warning buzzer

on this case, yellow wire makes work the dome ligh circuit and black wire the ign key warning buzzer

71s even got 3 PINS plugs for another devices on the 3rd source

So the 2 and 3 prongs were more for electrical doodads and luxury options.  Good I won't be needing any of that. Thanks again Nacho.
