BLK 68 R/T

Lots of metal work going into that car, looks like they are doing a good job. Will be interesting to see what it looks like once it's finished. Front end reminds me of a new Challenger

Impressive work! But poor taste in my book!  He doesn't like a lot of the nuances that make a Charger "sexy" and is taking painstaking measures to replace them.  The front end looks like a poorly reproduced Chinese die cast.  :Twocents:

Too early to tell how nice it will look but I think I like it so far.  Tucked bumpers are always a plus in my book...

Not bad so far..
I will reserve my judgement until I see the completed package......

Pretty neat project. I'll be interested to see how the body lines work with the doors once the paint is on it. Stretching the wheelbase in front will give it better weight distribution and I think is visually an interesting change. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the angular corners at the front and rear valance, but it may work ok with everything else that is going on.

Why did they need 2 chargers if they hardly used 1

Also they copied my cheapo rear valence idea.. just saying   :whistling:

I am not a fan of the door skins, but very nice metal work.

My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

They took all the curvy lines out and made them straight. I like some of the fabrication of course but not enough to justify taking the character out of the car.

Just curious, when people "tuck" the bumpers (or build whole new ones in this case), why don't they just mold them in like a new car. Having the lines still showing all the way around is distracting to me. Is it because they need to have an actual bumper to meet legal requirements?

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Indygenerallee

I don't care for it. Nice metal working skills but they went too far with the redesign, It looks way too boxy now!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Was it even necessary to make custom door skins? couldnt they have used satellite/coronet doors?  :scratchchin:

He is very sure of him self. The workmanship looks good but to me he is taking away from the style that makes it a great car. A bunch of bow tie boys.

This is going to sound like a flippant anti-Chevy-guy joke, but I am completely serious about this:

It looks like a bunch of '69 Camaro buffs are trying to make a '69 Charger more like one.

Look at what they are changing and the directions they are going with it.  Smoothing out the doors.  Moving the front wheelwells forward several inches.  Stretching the front valance area down towards the ground.  Squaring off the rear valance & corners.  This is totally a '69 Camaro mindset.

tsmithae

It looks like he is trying to turn a Charger into a Nova...   :-\
