It looks an awful lot like the AM/8-track in my '68 R/T.

67 Monaco and Polara had the thumbwheel as well.
I can't find a 394 in any of the parts books.  395 and others but no 394.
I'm sure that worn label had a number but that is gone.

be careful that it is not out of a C-body, that will not fit in your b-body ( I already made that mistake).

Also they unit looks pretty pitted and corroded.

Thanks guys.  I think the b body one is to be pointed in the middle.  This one is flat along the front.  I already bought it, but now am trying to figure out if it is correct or what it belongs on.

I happen to have mine in front of me waiting for my brother-in-law to pick it up and rebuild it for me. Mine (am/8-track) is original to my '69 R/T Charger and is slightly pointed in the middle and has "Chrysler Solid State" in the AM dial window. It does not look like any of the Hamtramck Historical pictures posted in a previous thread. It has a Motorola Mark paper sticker on it with a serial number ending with a "-89MC" and I am guessing a date code on it of 0589 being the 58th day of 1969.

there is also directly stamped on the metal body on the left side when looking at the radio, a stamp in ink that reads"  B      "
                                                                                                                                                                     89MC

Probably means an am/8-track for a "B" body but I am just guessing. My Charger was assembled at the Hamtramck plant with a SPD date of March 14, 1969 (314).

There are also 2 pigtails out of the body on the left side, one for power and one for the speakers. I also have the 3-speaker dash and a single rear speaker with the rear speaker switch on the lower dash.
