Hey

Yes its legit , it was built for the 1981 season ,used on the show ,repaired then used again for pre race entertainment at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in N.c . Car was purchase in 2000 by the previous owner, from Stuntman Jimmy Lyn Davis .Has all the studio marking's and documentation from Jimmy!.

Has been to various Dukes Of Hazzard event's over the past 12 years , paintwork restored in 2005 . Was at last year's Hazzard Homecoming in VA .
Currently have 4 General lee's  , thats why this one is up.

Wow...cool.

I asked because there is no reserve. Gutsy move, but it looks as if it would pay off. Now at $10k with 6 days left.

Would be cool to own it.

Maybe Bubba Watson might want something he can drive around town and avoid dinging Lee 1 :)   You should hit him up.

Hey

Yes the no reserve auction was a gamble ,but i figured it would weed out the window shopper's ,tire kickers , 133 watchers , ton of questions , trade offers , Knight Rider Kitt car's , Starsky torino's etc .

And lots of "do you have a buy it now "

Its a no reserve , so unless i decide on a trade deal , the buy it now will be the final price at auction close .

That car is on the short list of the real GLs that I would most like to own.  It's pretty much the only one like it to survive.  I'd be bidding on it if I was in a position to spend the money on another Charger.

I hope the car doesn't get too much more resto work in the coming years.

Some preservation work is understandable.  But the stripped-down interior, raggedy rollcage, and buckled body panels are part of what makes it what it is.
