I bought this today at the local exploded chevy dirt track race car swapmeet... :slap:

Funky 70's custom job... :apimp:

I've never seen one like this before...

Build quality could use a little refinement... :smilielol:

But...

It IS a SUPER custom Daytona ! :nana:

totally good for few bucks.  did it show a nose or wing on box or instructions?????  so what is at all custom,,,daytona??? ,,,,,,,,,,,with no wing or nose???   very rare thripe white ,topless charger....poor thing needs less decals and a paint job on body...  like seat cover in box pic ,but not on model. think it needs a wing? maybe a nose, but may be rare and limited?

Palmer kits were the among the worst that you could buy back then.    Neat box art though.

Ghoste

I can't even recall ever hearing of them before.  It is for sure a funky super custom Daytona though.

Aero426

Our local drug or 5 and dime stores had those Palmer kits.   They sold for about a buck, so they were cheaper compared to "real" AMT or MPC type kits.    Palmer models had crude multiple piece bodies where you had to glue the sides and roof on, as well as very simple detailing.   The box are was the best part of the kit.    Palmer was around for quite a while.   I have a '69 Torino, an Avanti and a 72 Challenger in my collection.

cool looking #7 on the deck lid.   :popcrn:

looks like a pretty cool model kit to me. the box is worth something. cool find. :2thumbs:
