This is a great site for info on chargers and the people here are so helpfull and willing to give advice to whoever needs it. I think
i have learned where not to purchase the car I have wanted since i was just a kid. i can't help but search ebay every day yet I think most of the cars there have hidden flaws that do not show up in the pictures but its nice to look. spending that much money and then to ship and when you finally see the car in person its not quite what you thought it was. some of the other places I have talked to on the phone have come up in post as they are FLIPPERS. that seems to be trouble also.I have seen pictures of cars that seem to look ok to me and when they get posted on this site they are picked apart and the flaws that i can't see are brought to lite. WOW. so I do not have that knowledge and do not want to buy with my heart. Im going to head for The Carlise Chrysler Nationals in July and hopefully find something that is worth the money. This year I will have $12,000 to put down looking to finance $20,000 bring my total to spend at $32,000 for a 69 R/T. my other option is wait till next year when I will have more cash. I really was looking for a very good driver not a show car. little things I can have taken care of as I go but I can drive this summer and actually post a picture on this site. My search online has reached about a year now. If anyone might have something they are looking to sell in this price range i would be interested, just being on this site I feel the best cars and honest people are all right here. thanks again for this site. Its the people on the site that make it what it is

Keep your eyes open one will show up. I never seem to see clean drivers. Its usually a well done job for top dollar or a bond queen thats driveable for ~25k.

A driving car with a super nice body needing just paint and interior would be ideal. If your looking to drop that much coin I'd look for a california or desert car.

I know you're talking about me when you said it's the people on this site are the best.   ;)
Welcome to the site.    I think in that price range you'll find something.  Rust / bodywork is the biggest problem in these cars.  Always look under the car, floors, frame rails, trunk, ect, ect.   Tap the car with your knuckle down the sides.  Wrap a magnet in a piece of soft felt or something so it won't scratch paint and check for bondo.    Make sure to check the V.I.N. to be sure it's an R/T. It will start with XS.

Hi,

Your post is exactly what I'm going thru also! I'm in the same price range and just can't find the" right" car.
This site and its people are awsome! So much insight!

Good luck on your search!

Ryan

If you find a car that's too far away to look at don't be afraid to ask any member if they are close enough to look at it for you.  We do this all the time.   :2thumbs:
