68 Charger headlamp vacuum harness questions???

I have been reading and searching for information regarding the headlamp vacuum harness for the 68 and 69 Charger's. I am not sure if they are once again being reproduced or not? I see several of the Mopar parts guys still listing them but out of stock. I am checking with Bill Alphin as he still lists them and appears to have more insight into this item than anyone else. The harness I have is in tact but the stripes are worn and see several patient people have painted them on. I cleaned them up in the sink with Dawn detergent and got the grime and dirt off and taped them up and they look good. If there is a set of new ones available I want to go that route.

While I was attempting to install the lines I came up short by about six inches doing the correct routing. Can someone please tell me how long the ribbed hose from the canister to the vacuum port on the engine should be? I suspect that someone cut the hose off and now it is too short. Does anyone make the correct ribbed hose for this as well. It is the quarter inch ribbed hose. I went to NAPA and got something close but am looking for the real thing.

Thanks for any info on this.

I wish I could be of more help. I got the email but figured it might be best to answer this one here.

The repop hose kits are gone with no re-release in sight at this time.

I do not have any info to state how long or where the T's are located in the hoses.

I have a 69 charger in now and I guess I will be making my own hoses so I will be finding out soon enough as the gille hopefully will be going together in the next couple of weeks

Thanks Bill,

I might just have to make due with what I have and hope there becomes enough demand that they will do another run in the future. I had been watching them for a while and didnt buy one at the time becasue I was far enough away from needing them and figured they would be around. Guess not!

Anyone have a set for sale out there? PM me if you do.

I found the same tubing used on various Chryslers from the 60's and 70's used for the windshield washer hoses. Wagons and other large nosed cars usually had 2 that were plenty long.

Persistence pays off. I found a small honey hole of what I am guessing are the last vacuum harnesses out there for a 68 and 69. I bought one right away and there are two left to be had unless someone else is stashing them. It arrived today and looks to be right on the money as I had hoped.  I got the same feedback that there will not likely be anymore of these made like these and when they are gone they are gone. The return on investment for tooling and demand will not justify it from what I am being told.

I was able to buy all remaining kits and the bad news is they are all spoken for.
