Was considering using Steer and Gear of Columbus, Ohio to rebuild and tighten my PS gear. They are local and into Mopars. I have talked with them at the Nationals, seam like a decent group.  Anyone have experience with them?

I have one of their Stage 2 boxes in my '69. Also installed one in my '68, however have not driven the car yet.
I thought they were very good to deal with. I really like their Stage 2 box that's in my '69.

I dealt with them at Carlisle. No shipping to contend with, no tax. Gave them a core to avoid eating a core cost.

The only thing that could be seen as a "problem", is that the boxes come cast gray. The paint is thin, and the steering box sat around for a month before I got to install it & actually started to flash rust just sitting in the box. Happened to a buddy of mine as well that had one in his car.
I just scuffed it down & painted it black, it should be black anyway.

Bill, how much they soak you for it?  My cars in need of a steering box rebuild also.

Brian, I'm thinking it was in the $245 range. That's with a core. IIRC they charge like $125 or so for a core, I found one at a swap for $20 bucks to give them to avoid the core charge. Or, you could have yours rebuilt.

I lucked out. I called them a month & a half before the show & they had no small sector steering boxes left, or cores to rebuild. Then a week before Carlisle, they only had 3 of them to bring. I bought one, and a buddy bought another.
