I am trying to figure out where this wiring goes for my 70 Charger. I just got a new dash harness from Year One and I have attached pics of the last bit of wiring on the harness that I need help identifying. Thanks

These two are next to the fuse block and I believe that the red one would go to the glove box light? The other one I am not sure on.

And this one: 2 red wires and 2 yellow wires. Any ideas?

I was also wondering where that single yellow wire with the squared connecter goes to.

last one... ignition key courtesy light. The round thingy is what controls that

Yep I know it's the key light, I just don't know where the yellow wire with the squared black connector goes. My old harness was half way disconnected when I got the car and un-labeled so these last few connectors are all that stands in my way of installing this beast.

HOWEVER, normally the harness sources provision are bullet kind terminals. Noticing you already have the bullet plug located, maybe thats ground source so that square plug must be the bulb source :shruggy:

that makes confusion since both are yellow, but one is traced

here is the function of every wire

I can note the spade terminal gets a source spliced into the plug.

There is another bulb around time delay controled on a 70 ? some other courtesy light ?

I know for example 71s got the seatbelt light warning light sourced by this flasher same as the ign key light so then this source is spliced for that

Second one ( yellows and reds ) it's for a diode. It looks to save from retro feed some door jam ground source to some extra equipments

1st one for key in buzzer ( I though its white wire but it looks you got blue traced white, but BIG TRACE LOL )

wow!!! 70s makes them on the hard way!!! now I understand the diode!!! the buzzer is positive controled into the column key switch sensor  instead ground controled!!!!

71s changed that to be everything ground door controled!!! no need for diodes on them

Now I wonder what this diode looks like? On my old harness there is the 2 yellow 2 red wires with the connector and then there is the same 2 yell 2 red connected to that, but the wires just loop around and then back into itself. So there is a harness that plugs in there, but goes nowhere. Very odd.

In the loop a diode?  :scratchchin:

1st Picture: I am still a little confused on. You said it goes to the KEY-IN WARNING BUZZER? (is there a separate harness that connects into this?) I cannot seem to find anything that would plug in there.

2nd Picture: DONE (connects to diode)

3rd Picture: Again, still confused. It is for the Key Light, but where does that last wire connect to?

3rd pic... is it already plugged to the key light?... the key light wire is into the column... your find the matching plug hanging out from column, allong with ignition and turning switch harnesses

1st pic... plugs DIRECTLY to the buzzer... you must have ( if not missed ) the buzzer attached somewhere down the dash frame

( I think I have a NOS buzzer around for your 70 if needed LOL, but I'm overseas )

terrible one

I think picture #1 with the red wire is actually for the cig lighter in the dash ash tray, and picture #2 is the plug for the radio.

Nacho-RT74

plug for radio looks to be the one below the hand on pic 2 ( by colors on wires )

I just posted color coded schematics a couple weeks ago. Check them out and see if it helps. http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,78399.0.html

Well I am finally getting around to finishing the dash. I still have not figured out where the black squared connector in pic 3 goes. The 2 bullet style connectors are already hooked up, but the last one I cannot figure out. I can't seem to find any more empty connectors on my dash harness.
