Emergency Brake Cable connection?

Can anyone tell me how the emergency brake cable is disconnected from the frame crossmember on a '69 charger? This would be where the end of the outer sheath connects to the frame rail and the cable comes through. Mine is dirty and rusty enough that I can't tell what kind of connection it is.
Thanks

The end of the cable housing just pushes through the hole in the crossmember...there is a split spring bushing retainer that keeps it in place. Take a punch and drive the end of the cable housing forward out of the hole, rust makes it harder to remove.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks John. I cleaned it up a bit but didn't see the split in the bushing.  :2thumbs:
