My 69 came with the larger ones. They are pretty beat up and I have already bought a brand new small pair. Of course now the larger ones are growing on me. Just thought I would throw this out there, what do you guys prefer?

I like the small ones. Much more graceful and they match the rear ones too. That said, if my car came with large ones, I would keep it original. How are people going to identify early vs late cars if half of us change our bumperettes? Those differences give us something to talk about at shows.
My 1969 Charger. RIP......Rest in pieces.

I like the larger bumper guards.

My T5 car has them. :coolgleamA:

By the way...

When did "Bumper guards" :scratchchin:

Become "Bumperettes" :shruggy:

I'd never heard them called "bumperettes" until I started hangin' around here...

Is it a Canadian thing ?

Or... am I just some old wood hippie that don't know nuthin' ? :shruggy: :slap:

I prefer the long ones as they kinda make it look a little more aggressive like upside down fangs. :shruggy:

Having been a 68-69 Charger fan since first seeing them new at the dealer (yah.. I'm that old ;D), I have always preferred the short/small guards. However the past couple years I have seen some cars without any front guards. In spite of not being "correct", i do kind of like the clean/smooth/wide look it gives the front end.

I didn't have them on my 67 for the longest time because I liked the look without them but just recently put them back on and prefer it now.

Jason, your Charger originaly came with the big bumperetts. Thoses are the original ones from 1969. My opinion I would put the bigger ones on.  :2thumbs:
When your Charger is sideways, just give it more gas!

I always thought that was what they called them when they were on a girly cars.  :shruggy:  My manly 68 has Bumper Guards on it.  :poke:     The parts book calls them guards.

I dig the tall style. I'd like to extend a pair of rears to match !

I found a NOS set years ago and put them on when I redid my grille.  I saved my original set just because of that reason, that they are fairly hard to come by.
