Hey guys,

I know some of the members here have Cuda's,so I was hoping someone could help me out. I have a 1970 ( I believe it to be a 70) Cuda hood. Its in very good condition, sorry no pictures. My question is how does someone tell the difference between year of hoods. I talked with one guy that said if the inserts have 2 screws holding the inserts in, then its a 72 or newer. The guy I got the hood from said it came off his 1970 Cuda after it was wrecked back in 1980 and was the original hood to the car. The vents are about 1 foot long with about a foot of solid metal between the vents.

Thanks for any help, I don't want to tell people the incorrect year for this hood.

After 70 the hood should have "crumple zones" I believe. There is an indented line in the metal support framework going from side to side - probably just before the middle of the hood. It's been a while since I've looked. A 70 would not have these.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Other than what Troy said, I think they are all the same.   :2thumbs:

Thanks for the replies. So the 2 screws holding the inserts in is the same on all years?
