Just saw a hemi block on ebay with the vin of XS29J9B240606, just in case someone has that car.

Why the hell would a machine shop shave off the casting dates? :rotz:

That is a really good question, Lennard and I would love to know the answer too. With the casting date gone and the top pad shaved clean, can we really believe they left the VIN on the block? I just don't know.
