So I'm in the market for a 71-74 Charger.  But the prices seem a little outrageous.  I'm all about buying the one that has the body in the nicest, rust-free condition.  I'm also looking for a BB car in comparison to a SB.  It's not going to be kept original, it will be hot-rodded to the extent of wheels, tires, one-color paint job and engine/drivetrain work.  So a car that isn't in mint condition is fine.

Here's two I'm interested in in my area, are these sellers on par with today's pricing?  I have not looked at either car in person yet.

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/4936315693.html  This one looks like it might have a 71-72 bumper on it.  Can anyone confirm?  And $7800 for a 318 car?

http://lancaster.craigslist.org/cto/4936284946.html  This one I prefer.  So if I look at it in person and it's almost no rust and in great condition, is that price credible???

While neither one would be my personal cup-of-tea. What do you expect to pay for a clean running-driving Charger?  Those prices don't seem so bad to me.  If I had either car, I don't think I would start off asking anything less.  I think cars cost more in my part of the country (Az) so maybe my view is skewed a bit, but I don't think solid clean dependable cars are gonna be much less.

Agreed!  Not bad pricing at all.  Now if you want sticker shock, start looking at 2nd generation Chargers.....

pretty clean looking cars. both cars look to me to be able to be cruised as is. so i'm thinking that the price isn't that bad. and that is an asking price. they expect to buckle a little I'm sure.

Yup, cruise the "nice" 2nd Gen's that are for sale and you'll have to give up your house and your prettiest daughter to afford one...

Those prices are not out of line if they are as clean as the photos would seem to detail.

You must live close to me. What town/area are you from?

VegasCharger

Those two 3rd gen Chargers sure do beat the hell out of these two over priced 3rd gens.

From the listing locations I thought you were close to PA.

Good Luck with your search. I would go with green Charger.
