71 seat covers on 73 seats?

thinking about new upholstery for my sons 73 charger SE.... after looking at classic industries catalogs i'm wondering if the seat covers from a 71  will fit my 73 seats? i like the look of the 71 seats plus there are no buttons to pop off/get lost. they look similar but not sure if the seat foam is the same between the years. this is the set that i am interested in...

I think they will fit. Classic Industries lists 71 - 74 seat foam as the same.

Although, Rocpar has 73-74 on ebay that they say is new. Is there a difference in the headrest maybe?

I know the seat cover are different, go look at legendary Int. site. I am pretty sure they are not interchangable.

not interchangeable with same foam. Need to match the foam... 71 foam is a diff beast than 72/74

thats what i was afraid of....i was trying to avoid the issue of the buttons getting knocked off! looks like i'll have to save a bit more money first.

I am about to do the same thing and put 71 bucket covers on 73 bucket seat frames.

When you see cars restored, one thing that bugs me is they will have nice new covers, but have used the old foam or the wrong foam and you can see all the wrinkles/gathers in the new cover where they should be stretched.

Is there a 71 seat foam made? What are the best options?
