Taking the starter out of a 69 Charger 383, with headers, I have the headers un bolted and now just loose in the car, I have the starter unbolted and wires disconnected, well.... now have starter floating in headers, do I need to remove the idle arm? drop the headers and bring the starter down that way? I assume that might be the right move since I can't conceive the starter fitting any other way... alittle help would be much apprechiated. Thanks

I just performed this several times getting a set of new headers in and out.  once I had the headers in and fitting correctly I forgot to raise the starter back into place.  I turned the steering all the way to one side which moved the sterring arm forward and gave me additinoal clearance.  I unbolted the header and tilted it verticle as if to lower is out of the car.  this gave me plenty of room to snake the starter up into place and start the bolting.
Hope this helps!?!?!  :scratchchin:
