one question about combining shipping

On these days I won these items from same vendor:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300618774023?item=300618774023&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:L:COSI:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr
( yeah, maybe the price looks a little bit crazy, but I'm mad trying to get a working unit, and an used piece won't get me the guarantee it will for long time. I already got a new repro being sold around what just woked fine by barelly two years )

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300620789778?item=300620789778&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:L:COSI:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

now, the total shipping is US$32 ( 18+14 ). Of course when I won the first item last week I asked if he would combine shipping and told me yes. Then last night won the second item.

Got the invoice this morning total with US$30 "combined" shipping quote... I don't think that is a COMBINED SHIPPING!

In fact I was expecting just afew bucks over the $18 of the second item, maybe $22 as much. Am I on right numbers more than the vendor shipping quote ?

The prop valve won't add a significant weight over the pinnion snubber to get $12 more than the original $18 shipping quote of snubber

your thoughts please!

Get the sellers number and call him/her.    I've had this issue before and always hashed it out on the phone.  In the future, ask what the combined shipping would be so there isn't any confusion.   Before the end of auction is best so there is a record.  After the two auctions, the seller is in control to a degree.

I already emailed him. I have been in contact with him in fact before win the prop valve because I requested if I win the prop valve he could remove bracket and the cast shoulders what keeps the bracket rivets in place, being holes drilled ( 74 B bodies got the valve attached directly to inner fender with stud, without bracket ) and he told me yes. I have got the email feedback with him because that

I already requested to correct this. But I think I'm more correct on the quote ( maybe on $20-23 rate ) than his quote, right ?

Are you doing the drum to disc conversion?  I purchased my kits off Ebay and the guy was really good to deal with.  I don't remember what his user name is...

no, my car is drum disc from fact ( they were standard equipment since 73 ) is just that my original prop valve got damaged, then got the repro piece, ( http://www.inlinetube.com/Prop%20Valves/VML105.htm not from inline but same piece ) just last longed two years, now running an used Aspen piece ( diff is noticeable, the braking power is less, that prooves every prop valve is different calibrated for the body to be used )

I want to rebuilt my original unit on same way seller rebuilt his one, but I don't have the tooling right now, and I know replacement O rings won't be easy to find locally. I bet replacement seats will be unexistant locally. This that I won is the same cast numbers than my original unit ( KH 89410 )

Some sellers are ruthless when it comes to combined shipping discounts.
Just yesterday I received 2 Charger script badges for car.
Postage for 1 was $7.75 with a 50% discount for a second item's postage.
Of course they both arrived in the same small box inside the same padded envelope and I was charged $12.50
Pays to negotiate before buying (which in this case I failed to do)
Different if the weight of the items is substantial of course.

ok, got a reply from him:

"Total weight with packaging is about 3.2 kg, box about 11"x8"x8". Shipping from V2W1C2 to Florida is $30.61 on the Canada Post website, verify for yourself! I'm not trying to rip you off! Anyways, I'll give a discount on the shipping."

he is now charging $23.

I did know he was in Canada.

WOW! is it for real those pieces can weight 3.2 Kg ? it looks to be imposible, but never have had a pinion snubber in hands and still whatever it weights didn't seem to be a big diff just adding the prop valve to the bigger and weighter package ?, I don't like to be an A$$h0l3 about this. I don't care to pay something is for real, just it is what it looked to be imposible.

But how then he got a $18 shipping quote for the pinion snubber ?

Dunno what to think  :-\
