I was at a flea market over the weekend (No I don't have pictures) I bought a richard petty metal bank it was a Pontiac race car painted in petty colors with his # on it.  The box had was in petty colors with his picture and had a sticker that said 1 of 100? I don't remember.  Did petty ever drive a pontiac?  Are these things worth anything? I paid $15 for it :shruggy:

He drove Grand Prixs in the 80s I think.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Yes he did, back in the 80's.  He also drove Fords in the 69 season.

After abandoning the Dodge Magnum mid way though '78,  Petty drove a mix of Chevys, Olds and Buicks through 1981.   From 1982 on, he drove Pontiacs exclusively.   They actually tested a Dodge Mirada for 1981, but it was so bad, they cut the body off and made it a Buick.

It's probably a fairly common item, but you can check Ebay and see if there are similar items and what they sold for.      If you like it, put it on the shelf and start dumping pennies into it.   :2thumbs:
