I believe there was a thread not long ago with a blog that featured the General Lee against The Bandit TA.  I see the latest copy of Hot Rod has a GL vs Bandit story and it made the cover.
They gave the nod to Bandit for the actual movie but the GL beat the Pontiac hands down for the car portion.
